A walk to the North Pole, an opportunity to experience an environment under threat from climatic change, a reason to get fitter, something to aim for, an adventure or just a mid-life crisis. Whatever their reason: eight intrepid explorers are risking all to raise funds for some very worthwile causes.

We'll be leaving the UK on the 6th April and aiming to be on the ice on the 9th.
